Besides finding forever homes for our adoptable animals, CHS helps our community in various ways:

Pet Food Pantry – supplemental free food for families in need who are struggling financially

Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program – offers reduced rates with a goal of keeping the pet population in Jackson County at manageable levels

Outreach programming as the need arises, such as training police officers the proper way to approach roaming animals in our city and teaching area 4^th graders the proper care and treatment of animals
