In addition to the $4,000, some of the hundreds in attendance at the American 1 Events Center donated food, toys, kitty litter and much more, according to a news release from the credit union.
American 1 received none of the proceeds and covered all the expenses for the event, the release reads. The event at 228 W. Ganson St. included a pet fashion show featuring several animals from the shelter.
There was also a Facebook photo contest, which Connie Strine, Pebbles and Izzy won.
