1st Annual Trunk or Treat at CHS!

Join us for the 1st Annual Trunk or Treat at Cascades Humane Society!

A fun and exciting Trunk or Treat event will be coming to Cascades Humane Society Thursday, October 20th from 6-8 PM! We are excited to have businesses that support us and other nonprofits hosting trunks at the event. In addition to multiple trunks to visit for candy, we will have activities for the kids, cider and donuts, food trucks, a petting zoo, pony rides, and adoptable animals!  This is going to be a pawsome event! Candy, kids’ activities, cider and donuts, food trucks, adoptable pets, and more!

Bring The Kids For Some Fun!
The Trunk or Treat at Cascades Humane Society is the perfect opportunity for families to get out and have some fun. In addition to trunk-or-treating, there will be plenty of activities for kids to do. There will be awesome Halloween and pet-themed crafts and we will also have pony rides and a petting zoo! Wild World Adventure and Pony Rides will be at the event offering pony rides for children along with a petting zoo. Children will have the opportunity to see, pet, and feed domestic animals such as goats, sheep, rabbits, and a mini pig. Weather permitting, a giant tortoise may join the fun!

Two Amazing Food Trucks, Cider, and Donuts!
Plan to have dinner at our Trunk or Treat because the food trucks Craveable Food Trailer and Baby Bear Burger will be dishing up some delicious eats during the event! Craveable Food Trailer will have great vegetarian options available. Baby Bear Burger boasts scrumptious sliders, fries, and more. In addition, cider and donuts will be available to snack on while supplies last.

Adoptable Animals!
Cascades Humane Society will have its doors open past closing for the public to view adoptable animals. While we won’t be processing adoptions or offering other services, there will be forms and applications available to fill out so you can visit again during open hours if any of the animals interest you. Volunteers and staff will be walking around the Trunk or Treat with adoptable dogs so you can get your pets in then!

Additional Event Information!
This is a free event to attend, but there will be nominal fees at the food trucks and for the kiddos to ride the ponies. Any donations are happily accepted and proceeds go directly to helping the homeless animals at Cascades Humane Society (CHS)! CHS does not receive any government funding and therefore relies solely on donations from the community, whether it is through individuals, businesses, foundations, or other events.

Four-legged friends are welcome to join any of the activities outside. Pets must be leashed at all times. If your pet is not friendly with others, please keep them at home for this event. Thank you!
