Paws in the Park is hosted at Cascades Falls Park in Jackson, MI. Be sure to join us for all kinds of fun! 5k run, 5k walk, 1-mile walk, Ultimate Air Dogs Splash, vendors to shop, low-cost pet vaccine clinic, and dog-centered activities.
This is a family-friendly and dog-friendly event! So, bring your dog to do the walk or the run, shop the vendors, and participate in all the activities we have!

This event is truly fun for the family! We will have fun activities for the kids and dogs to participate in! We will also have a variety of vendors – both for the humans and the pets!

Low-Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic
Get your dog (or cat!) brought up to date on their vaccines while enjoying all the fun that Paws in the Park has to offer! THE VACCINE CLINIC WILL RUN 9 AM – 11 AM. Please only bring healthy pets, all sick animals will not be vaccinated and will be referred to your veterinarian. Cats must come in a carrier and dogs must be leashed.
Prices:
Dog Distemper Vaccine: $25
Cat Distemper Vaccine: $25
Bordetella Vaccine: $25
Rabies Vaccine (both cat and dog): $25
Microchips (lifetime registration): $25
Dog or Cat Nail Trim: $10
Heartworm Test: $35
One of Our Biggest Fundraisers of the Year!
As a supporter of CHS, you probably already know that we care for nearly 1,200 pets annually. This includes “routine” medical care (although many other shelters do not provide even this level of care) such as spaying and neutering, vaccinating, parasite preventatives, microchipping, and disease testing. It also includes going above and beyond for those animals that need it with specialized surgeries, diagnostic lab work testing, and in depth medical treatments. Each of the animals that find their way to us not only get medical attention, but they get a team of staff and volunteers who love, care, clean and feed them.
If you are registering for the run or the walk, please also create a fundraising page that you can customize and post on your social media account. If you are not registering but would be willing to help us reach our fundraising goal, you can donate (pick a fundraiser to add to, or scroll to donate independently) or create your own fundraising page by clicking the buttons below.
